#COVID19 Social Distancing Log Day 03162020:
People who know me think I'm probably an extrovert, but I'm also a GenXer so I'm real cool being in isolation.

I did go to Target to pick up some provisions not toilet paper. I got some #ChezIts and Powdered donuts. I'll be good for a month. My buddy came along to ensure my safety. Being Asian seems to be a great opportunity for people who are racist to be overtly racist. Rochester is safe. Thank you @target employees for doing their thang.
Was gonna go get tested but the line for the Clinic's mobile COVID testing was 60 cars deep. Better safe than sorry.
Chillin. Getting centered. Healing my heart. Thinking. Writing. Singing. Dancing in the kitchen. Do all the things you haven't had the time or energy to do before the state of calamity. Learn to love yourself. Love your life. Love your friends. Love your family. Love your enemies. Reach out virtually. People are getting scared, worried, and anxious. Know that there are folks out their working hard to get us back to homeostasis. Copacetic. Normalcy.
It's rough. Things are really strange and bizarre. I supposed this is the universe telling the collective we need to calm the eff down.
The last drink out at a bar before we went into quarantine was at Charlies Pub with my friend we'll call her M for anonymity's sake. I had only been back from the Philippines a few weeks and still grieving my mother's death. I had also found out that my job was not going to exist anymore as they reshuffled and restructured their staffing. Even if they say that it never ever feels good. Like really!? Is that really why you're letting me go? It actually was a blessing in disguise since I was of course a complete wreck from what I'd been going through for the last five months. Sometimes as the song goes the best thing in life is, "unanswered prayers."

The journey of healing begins with the first step towards acceptance that my life was now completely in the shitter.

Updated: Nov 18, 2020
I did a quick scan of the interweb to see what it had for folks who were into gender non-conforming and masculine of center female identified folks. Here are five that I thought were interesting.
In 2010 “Its All Butch” Emerged From The Thoughts of An Amazing Photographer.
Her Name Is Debbie Boud. She was challenged to find hot female butch models and proceeded to create a calendar with the people she found. This year 2016 she also put together a trans calendar. It's quite wonderful and we at FD approve!
From the website: Butch is not a dirty word is a publication that celebrates butch identity and culture. Whilst our focus is female masculinity we also welcome and encompass anyone along the gender continuum who aligns with the butch identity.
3. Butch On Tap
Butch On Tap is currently on hiatus, which is okay, but she says that she's working on making some changes to her blog page. She has been writing her blog regularly since 2013. We hope she continues to grace us with more incitement butch thoughts and happenings.
From the about page: "I can tell you that “butch” means a lesbian that is big, strong, tough, more macho, less girly. Of course, there are no hard and fast rules – which is an ongoing theme in my blog and in the comments – but those are the basics. A butch will most likely not wear makeup. A butch is often referred to as “sir” by someone who is not paying attention."
4. ButchVoices
About ButchVoices: "The mission of BUTCHVoices is to enhance and sustain the well-being of all women, female-bodied, and trans-identified individuals who are Masculine of Center. We achieve this by providing programs that build community, positive visibility and empower us to advocate for our whole selves inclusive of and beyond our gender identity and sexual orientation."
Who They Are: "BUTCHVoices is a grassroots organization dedicated to all self-identified Masculine of Center* people and our Allies."
They also host a ButchVoices conference and the dates for 2017 is being decided. Keep up to date about the conference here.
5. Boi Society
About Boi(s) Society: "Boi Society is a creative group of individuals who identify on the queer spectrum around the world. Our mission is to provide education of our community to develop a more positive relationship within society. This relationship will not only promote acceptance, respect and tolerance of all individuals regardless of their identity background, it will also raise awareness and support to the individuals who are members of our community. We are the most diverse illustration of a non-conforming lifestyle. We are not here to label. We honor and represent the entire queer community." Boi Society on Facebook.
Go check out those sites and enjoy!
Update: Since this post is from 2016 some links may not work and I tried to update them and redirect you to their updated sites. However, some folx are no longer active. Which I totally understand because I basically haven't done anything with this website since September 2016. I couldn't even tell you what happened, but most likely I got busy with grad-school and some health issues I was recovering from. Sigh.

Magic can bit of a cruel mistress, as well. Just like time, they are doing it for our own good but will not tell us exactly what they are doing…It is a bit of tough love and torture combined.

Deprivation of one sense yet overloading of the others, throwing us off-balance until we have no idea what really matters and which end is up. Magic is the antidote to time…and time tempers the hysteria of magic…they are almost always out of balance yet never far from the other. Magic makes us feel invincible and godlike and it is a bit of a drug that convinces us of things that we don’t normally believe we can do when we are not under the influence…Our sober side thinks about getting 8 hours of sleep and starting the day fresh and all the responsibility.
Magic allows us to stay up all night fucking a new lover and not really being honest when the timid voice inside our head asks if it’s the best thing for us to do? The same timid voice that reminds us how much we may have to pay for this in a day, month or down the road.
Magic is the cute girl that everyone wants to be around at any costs. We don’t ask if she is really real. It just is……It is ribbons of merriment, promise, love and lust, nothing else matters and everything is possible….it all is swirling around in the moonlight, waking up neighbors and pretending we don’t care if they get mad…
Because the shit feels that good! It is the most addictive drug. Like a drug, it will convince you to give up your child…leave your partner…lose your house…your career…all your worldly possessions. You get caught up in the magic.. you are seduced by magic. She stroked your cheek at just the right moment…she held your hungry glance for seconds longer than you have ever felt. And it felt, really and truly, as though she saw you. I mean really saw you. And now, you are back to feeling alive again…and like that…you are hooked like a junkie after it’s first fix.
Magic is the antidote to time…
